Hello folks,
Hope all is well. Lately, I've been noticing some artists mentioning that they've been hitting a stumbling block ,or burnt out artistically and posting that they'll be either quitting or taking a long break from their artistic pursuits. Which is cool and all, do whatever makes you happy. But, it's slightly heartbreaking every time I hear about it, especially when it's an artist I look up too. So, I figure I should put up some links to vids that I found helpful to listen to when I'm sketching. Hope this helps you too.

The first is Will Terrell's People Sketching vids which offer motivational advice about being an artist in general. The second is character artist Bobby Chui's new livestream vids where he answers questions and offers his experience in the art field . He posts every Thurs. but I believe there are recordings of previous vids. These artists are pretty well known but I figured it wouldn't hurt to post. I may post more links that I run across.Will see....

Impromptu Entrance into School
So,
I applied for trade school thinking that there wouldn't be any openings until next year only to be contacted by administration telling me they had a few spots left once I pass the entrance exam. So, most of my inktober was dedicated to that, kind of making my earlier journal redundant. Long story short I passed, got accepted and now attending. So, forgive the unorganized posting and lack of art. Things may be unpredictable for a while,although I am working on some artwork.I'm just not sure when I'll be able to post some finished pieces. My apologies. Thanks.

New Goals...Inktober

How's it going? So, I'm going for at least one or two drawings a week to post on devart for now. I plan to gradually get more involved with digital work, with the exception of inktober. It's a new year folks! I'm a little late but that's ok. I hope everyone is enjoying the year so far. I just want to say I plan to be a bit more active on deviant art. I want to diversify my artwork a bit- people,animals,traditional,digital,etc. I'm always looking to improve my work so, if you got any drawing challenges/suggestions feel free to post them here and I'll consider them. I'll have to take a look at those. I've recently gotten my inspiration to focus on drawing again, but some extra motivation can't hurt.
